Sigma DP1 DigiCam
As an PMA 2008 event participant, Sigma has committed to release DP1 digital camera, starting from this spring. The DP1 sports a 14.1-megapixel APS-C sized Foveon CMOS sensor, SD/SDHC card slot, and a new three-layer (3D) silicon technology that ability to captures an RGB image in one pixel for individual portions instead of the normal three, resulting in a major lift to resolution and color response. Furthermore, it also has nine-point autofocus system offers a shooting possibility in both X3F-formatted RAW and JPEG — and pop-up flash that’s supplemented by the addition of a hot-shoe to allow for a host of further flash solutions. No words on pricing at the moment, however.
