Olympus Unveils E-420 Digital SLR Camera images

Olympus brand new E-420 digital SLR camera is aimed to everyone who want to get a balance between power and performance of the Digital SLR, yet enjoy the ease of use and ability to compose images on the LCD common to point-and-shoot cameras.

It’s sports a 10-megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.7″ LCD for Live View, a Olympus’ TruePic III Image Processor, CompactFlash Type I & II, Microdrives, xD-Picture Cards memory slots, and the continuous-shooting speed goes 3.5fps. Moreover, the E-420 also incorporates the Shot Preview, On-Screen Autofocus, Face Detection, HyperCrystal II, and Shadow Adjustment Technology to increase the fun of shooting photos. At a weighing only 379 grams, the E-420 is up to 20% lighter than competing DSLR and Olympus claims as a world’s lightest and smallest Digital SLR camera at this time.


Regarding price, the Olympus E-420 will be retails for $500 (body alone) plus $100 if you want to buy include an ED 14-42mm f3.5/5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens, while $700 for body plus ED 25mm f2.8 Zuiko Digital Lens. Sorry, it will be available in May of 2008. And if you’re on a budget, this thing is perfect for you :) .

    Thats a nice camera. I wouldn’t mind using something like that for my blog in the future. Right now im using a canon powershot.
