Lancerlink HDKAM-08P Camcorder Hits Japan Market
Looks like folks living in the Land of the Rising Sun will be able to get hold of the HDKAM-08P portable digital camcorder which can record 1440 x 1080 format video (MPEG-4 AVC/H.26 codec) at up to 30fps about 1 hour into an SD / SDHC card. Measures 34 x 63 x 97mm and weighs 150 grams, the camera also packs a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 32MB of internal memory, a 2.5-inch LCD screen, USB 2.0 port, and HDMI output. It also supports 720p 30 fps capture for high speed motion capture, and 2x Digital Zoom at 1440 x 1080. The HDKAM-08P will retail for ¥39,800 or about $401 after conversion.

I tried this camcorder and i must say i was very disappointed. Maybe I had my standards set too high but i was expecting more for this camcorder. I have tried non HD camcorders that gave better quality than this one.
