Garmin Offers New GPS Units
Garmin has released two more handheld GPS receiver in the form of the eTrex Vista H and the eTrex Legend H. Both of units is specially design for hikers and climbers, also does waterproof meet the IPX7 standards, which means the GPS case can withstand accidental immersion in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. They are features a 4 level gray LCD at 160×288 resolution, a 24MB of internal memory, USB interface for uploading Topo maps, integrated high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver for quick and precise positioning, and loads basemap of North and South America, containing major lakes, interstates, rivers, cities, national and state highways, coastlines, and railroads. The difference is the former does have an Electronic compass and a Barometric altimeter, while the latter is doesn’t pack that feature. The eTrex Vista H and Legend H priced is set at $199.99 and $149.99, respectively.
