Samsung 460DRn All-Weather Outdoor LCD Panel
The new Samsung 460DRn Outdoor LCD Panel is specially designed to use in digital signs for transit centres, bus shelters, museums, shopping malls and for use at point of sale in retail outlets, to replace outdated poster advertisings. Claimed as the world’s brightest LCD, this 46-inch display boasts a brightness at 1500 cd/m², a contrast ratio at 3500:1, native resolution at 1366 x 768 pixel, and high definition image produces with 16.7 million colours. In order to achieve the extreme brightness, the panel using cold-cathode fluorescent lamps (CCFLs) that operate on a very high current, and an extremely thin colour filter. As for connectivity, the unit loads offers robust connectivity options including VGA, DVI, BNC, CVBS, S-Video, Component and HDMI. No idea on pricing, but Samsung will start to ship the LCD on late of this month.
