Dell has recently launched its new Wasabi PZ310 printer that allows users to print a photos from digital camera that support PictBridge over USB or Bluetooth connectivity. The printer incorporates new Polaroid’s ZINK (zero-ink) technology that will creates full-color digital photos without the use of ink cartridges or ribbons. The Digital Instant ZINK Photo Paper is a composite material that houses cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals in a protective polymer overcoat. Before printing, the dye crystals are colorless, so the photo paper appears white. Heat activates and colorizes the dye crystals, so photos can be shared in less time than a traditional Polaroid photo. Furthermore, the Wasabi PZ310 will able to produce a full color, 2×3-inch image in about a minute and has an adhesive back that lets users print out labels. It’s now available for $99 but Dell says this version doesn’t compatible with iPhone.
