The new Everest E4000 from Glacier Computer is an ultra-rugged tablet PC and certified for both military and industrial ruggedization standards. It has been designed to be shock, vibration, dust and rain resistant and enable you to take notes quickly and work in close spaces. The Everest E4000 uses an Intel Pentium M 1.4GHz processor, and you have an option to choose the 10″, 12″, and 15″ screen size at 1024 x 768 resolution. The E4000 includes 1GB RAM, 16GB Solid-State Driver, Wi-Fi 802.11a/g/b, ports for USB, Cardbus peripherals and Firewire – you can use any combination of mobile peripherals to stay connected and working productively. As for operating system, you can choose Windows XP, XP Embedded or Linux. The price will start from $2,500 upwards.
