IO-Data BDVRP-UH4 Portable Blu-ray Drive
Along with the LCD-MF242X full HD LCD monitor, IOData also announced its new BDVRP-UH4 portable Blu-ray Disc (BD) drive . Scheduled to ship from next month at an MSRP of ¥28,770 (or about $310), the BDVRP-UH4 boasts a reading speed of BD-ROM/R/RE at 4.8x, DVD-ROM/±R/±RW at 8x, DVD±R DL at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x, and CD-ROM/R/RW at 24x. As for writing speed, the drive offers DVD±R/plus RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, DVD-RAM at 5x, DVD±R DL at 4x, CD-R at 24x, and CD-RW at 16x. The drive carries USB interface and compatible with Windows XP/Vista, however some of notebook PC configured with Intel Graphics and running a Microsoft Windows XP 32-bit Operating System doesn’t support to playback a blu-ray disc.
