Clarion Intros MAP 690 And MAP 790 PND At CeBIT

Clarion taken an opportunity at ‘09 CeBIT trade show to introduced their couple new of portable navigation device, known as the Clarion MAP 690 and the Clarion MAP 790. The former covers mapping of France, while the latter delivers maps of 44 European countries. Both of devices are powered by iGO My way 8 developed by NAV that capable of showing certain buildings and monuments in 3D, altitudes, realistic looking road signs, and posted speed limits.  As an additional features about these models include RDS/TMC receiver for traffic updates, a 4.3-inch touch screen with 480×272 pixel (WQVGA) resolution, SiRF III GPS receiver chip, a handsfree Bluetooth kit, 400 MHz processor, 2 GB of onboard storage to holds the maps info, text-to-speech street names pronouncing function, and lane assistance to help you out on freeways. Curiously, there’s no word on pricing or release dates, but we’ll try to search on the net and update later.
