Canon Rebel T1i aKa EOS 500D Announced

The new Canon’s Rebel T1i also known as the EOS 500D DSLR camera in Asia and Europe is a DSLR camera with 16:9 720p and 1080p HD video capture capability at 30 fps and 20 fps, respectively. Announced recently, the camera sports a 15.1-megapixel CMOS APS-C size CMOS image sensor, Canon’s DIGIC 4 image processor, and up to 3200 ISO sensitivity along with two high-speed settings — H1 and H2 — of ISO 6400 and ISO 12800. Other nifty features include a 3-inch LCD display, 9-pint auto focus, EOS Integrated Cleaning System, SD/SDHC memory cards supported, and HDMI output. In addition, the Rebel T1i support 3.4 fps continoues shotting for up to 170 large/fine JPEG images or up to nine RAW images in a single burst. Canon says the Rebel T1i will retail for $799.99 for body only, while with the Canon’s EF-S18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS zoom lens will priced at $899.99.
