Sony HDR-TG5V Small HD Camcorder

The new Sony’s HDR-TG5V is an ultra-compact camcorder with Full HD 1080p AVCHD video capture capability, while snapping 5-megapixel photos and an embedded GPS receiver, allows you to create an interactive map using your own photos. Being a successor of the Sony’s TG1 and compared to its competitors (the Sanyo Xacti), the HDR-TG5V also has included an 16GB of flash memory which good enough for 6 hours of video recoding, minimal buttons, and a new intuitive user interface for the touch-panel LCD. Other features include Smile Shutter technology, BIONZ Image Processor that works with Exmor CMOS sensor for pristine imaging, and a Carl Zeiss(R) Vaio-Tessar(R) lens with 10X optical zoom. Sony says that they will ship the HDR-TG5V camcorder in this May for about $1,000. In addition, the customer also will give an option to get a travel kit (Sony ACC-TCH5) with a battery, travel charger and pouch for $100, and will charge you more for $100, if you need to own a wide angle conversion lens (Sony VCL-HGE07TB) too.
