The Samsung Mondi which already launched at CTIA 2009 is a WiMax internet device with an embedded GPS receiver. Powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, the device feature theĀ  2nd-generation of the Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, thus allowing users one-touch access to certain apps via movable and customizable widgets on the home screen of their phone. Other features include a WiFi Access (BTv2.1+EDR), 4GB of internal memory, 3.0-megapixel camera with video recording capability, Opera 9.5 Web Browser, Bluetooth 2.0, Microsoft Outlook and Windows Mobile Office, Direct Push/Mobile Email (POP3, IMAP, SMTP), media player, and HDMI TV Out. As for GPS capabilities, the Mondi comes preloaded with Route66 for turn-by-turn GPS and will be bundled with a mounting kit for car use. No idea on pricing, but the Samsung Mondi will be available through Clearwire, however you must check before about the coverage map area.
