Western Digital SiliconDrive III SSD
Western Digital has joined into SSD bandwagon with their new SiliconDrive III product range based on SiliconSystems’ technology which aimed to the networks communications, industrial, embedded computing, data centre, aero-space, and military. The device is range from 2.5 inches SATA and PATA, 1.8 inches Micro SATA with the storage capacity 30 – 120GB and 30 – 60GB respectively. These product boasts reads speed at 100MB/sec and write speed at 80MB/sec. The SiliconDrive III also incorporating SiSMART technology to constantly monitors and reports the exact amount of storage system useable life available allowing users to make any necessary adjustments or schedule preventative maintenance to ensure system availability and data integrity.
